ScrollFree ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share data when you use the ScrollFree mobile application.

1. Data We Collect

We collect limited information necessary to provide the functionality of the app.

Usage and Device Data

To analyze screen time and provide blocking features, ScrollFree may collect:

• App usage statistics (time spent per app)
• Screen time data
• Notification-related data
• Names and categories of apps selected by the user for blocking
• Blocking sessions and configuration data
• Free-time schedules and days-off settings
• Device usage statistics used for productivity insights

During onboarding, users may optionally provide:

• The top 5 most used apps
• The time spent on those apps
• Average total phone usage time

This information is used only to personalize productivity insights.

Account Information

Users may create an account and provide:

• Email address
• Username
• Name
• Profile photo

Providing this information is optional but may be required for certain features.

Diagnostics and Analytics

We collect limited technical information to improve app reliability and performance through:

• Firebase Crashlytics for crash diagnostics
• Google Analytics for Firebase for usage analytics
• RevenueCat for subscription and purchase analytics

These services may collect device information, app interactions, and diagnostic logs.

We do not collect Android advertising IDs for advertising purposes.

2. Authentication

Users may authenticate using:

• Email and password
• Google Sign-In
• Apple Sign-In

Authentication is handled securely using third-party providers and backend infrastructure.

By creating an account on ScrollFree, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Data

We use collected data strictly to operate and improve the app, including to:

• Calculate screen time and productivity metrics
• Provide blocking sessions and focus tools
• Enable app limits, schedules, and reminders
• Store user settings and preferences
• Provide streaks, achievements, and statistics
• Process subscriptions and premium features
• Improve app performance and stability
• Respond to support requests and in-app communications

We do not sell, rent, or trade user data.

We do not use data for advertising profiling.

4. User Settings and Configurations

User settings and configurations may be stored in our database, including:

• Blocking sessions
• Apps or content selected for blocking
• Free-time schedules
• Days-off settings
• Productivity goals
• Support requests or communications submitted within the app
• Feature review states

This data is necessary to provide core app functionality across devices.

5. Third-Party Services

We share limited data with trusted third-party services strictly for app functionality:

• Analytics providers (ex: Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Google Analytics)
• Crash reporting tools
• Cloud hosting and database services (Supabase – Postgres)
• RevenueCat for subscription management

These services process data according to their own privacy policies.

Payments are handled exclusively by Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

We do not store or process credit card or payment information.

We do not sell or rent user data.

6. Data Storage and Retention

Data is stored on Supabase servers located in East US (Ohio).

Profile and goal-related data is retained until account deletion.

Users can ask for their data to be deleted by sending an email to info@getscrollfree.app or reset their progress in the app's settings.

7. Notifications and Automated Actions

ScrollFree sends notifications based on usage behavior (ex: achievement unlocked).

For the service to run properly, a persistent notification has to be visible at all times while the monitoring is active.

The app does not make automated decisions that restrict access by default. Any sessions or limits can be paused or deleted by the user.

8. Account Deletion

Users may request account and data deletion by clicking the delete account option in their profile settings in-app or by emailing: info@getscrollfree.app

Deletion requests are processed within a reasonable timeframe.

Upon deletion, personal account data will be removed from our systems, except where retention is required for legal or operational purposes.
